I went to Jacksonville and Gainesville for the first time last week, and made a point to drive to Lochloosa. I found a dirt road off of Hwy 301 on the south side of the lake, which took me to a scene that perfectly resembled this song. I pulled this video up while I sat on the bank, and listened and enjoyed. The wildlife was amazing and a bald eagle even flew over. Thank you JJ!

i was sitting around a table with some friends at a place in Lake Worth, FLA. The evening jam session after group all day. Rehab. A friend put this on, no one was really paying attention, we were just chillin, and the guitar solo came up and I said "who the fuck is this?" "JJ Grey and Mfro," she replied. Been listening to it ever since, rehab didn't stick, but Lochloosa still jams almost on the daily.

I love this song so much and I don't even listen to this type of music that much. I happened to hear it on NPR a few years back and it just stuck with me. It just has so much passion and soul. I love his speech before this song. He seems like such a real, down to earth guy. "I don't go there to escape reality, I go there to GET to reality."

I haven't listened to music for years but i heard JJ Grey last night on House of Cards and had to look it up. Spent the next EIGHT HOURS with his music on, slept, then it's been on again all day. I know what you mean about him seeming down to Earth. And his lyrics are so honest and real. A treasure!!

My best friend grew up at Lake of the Ozarks, his Lochloosa is the cove he knows from childhood... it is the place "where he goes to get reality!" Long live his Lochloosa... cheers my friend.

His storytelling wraps you in a warm blanket out of the dryer and doesn't let you go. This song is grandmas apple pie on a beautiful summer evening sitting out side in the rocking chair listening to the birds sing. Doesn't get much better than this. I hope everyone finds their own Lochloosa during all this craziness in the world.

Just happened up on JJ Grey. Love his music and especially "Lochloosa" reminds me of my little hometown of Central South Carolina.

Crista Forest he is the best all around in everyway. Family man etc. I had the opportunity to be 10' from him at concert in savannah ga. He could be #1 on music charts a Hollywood legend , but a simple man he is... a truly good man with truly awesome music. Most awesome thing ..said he felt safe in savannah so he had his daughter sing with him the song he wrote for her ! I am at a loss for words ! AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL, HIS MUSIC TAKES ME TO A PLACE I CAN NOT DEFINE

A true family man , good man , best MUSIC! Had the opportunity to see him n Savannah Ga. 10' from him. His music takes me to a place i never want to leave. Said he has always loved Savannah so he brought his daughter with him and OMG she came out on stage with him as he sung to her Sweetest Thing ? (Believe thats the name of it ) however he wrote that song to her. Tears tears . Just incredible. No song will ever outbeat Lochlosa though!
