I'm still having questions about Booth Jr though. 3rd rounder with huge upside but he hasn't made his way up the depth chart so maybe that's about work ethic or lack of football study on the side getting into the defensive playbook.

Love JJM as a prospect QBoF, but right now we should be pulling for slingin' Sam Darnold to have an epic redemption year. At 26, Darnold is a veteran of two crappy teams and one great team, where he backed up Brock Purdy. When Purdy went down last year, Darnold stepped up and looked better than a backup for the 9ers. That's why the Vikings signed him to a $10 million contract for one year. I don't expect Darnold to have a Baker Mayfield recovery season, I expect him to play BETTER than that. Vikings have more talent on their offense than the Bucks do. Darnold's arm talent is better than Mayfield's. With all these fun toys, I expect Sam Darnold to cook like a master chef.

Think about that all the injuries and one of the toughest schedules in the leauge using 4 different QBs and that still wasn't enough to stop them from winning the division so the officials had to hand away the Vikings wins against KC, Den, and both games against Det.

I expect JJ to sit. And learn. And sit. And learn. I think JJ will be the 3rd string all year unless Darnold sucks a big one AND Mullens can't get the job done. They know they will not rush him along, he's not even taking reps with the first stringers right now from what I've read. Please note -- I am super stoked we have him -- but the Vikings know not to rush him along. That said, I don't see them being a playoff team next year -- as much as we may want to talk trash about other teams, the Bears will be scary good if Caleb Williams is the real deal and lives up to the first overall pick hype, he has a stud team now and a very weak schedule; Green Bay and Detroit are still very solid teams, and then Minnesota -- I feel sorry for teams who have to play this division this year, and this division will beat itself up over the course of the season. My prediction is somewhere between 7-10 and 10-7 for Minnesota -- and if they do go 10-7, they will take a wildcard spot, and lord help the teams if they make the playoffs.
