I 100% agree. A great example of this would be Steve Kerr & Jason Kidd. Both started their coaching careers around the same time (I think Kidd started a year earlier than Kerr) Kerr was a role player on winning teams & Kidd was a multi time all star on majority of the teams he's been on. As of right now, Kerr as 4 championships as a Head Coach & Kidd only has one as an assistant coach. Kerr has more championships both as a player and coach combined than Jason Kidd has both as a player and both combined.

And the GM. The GM has to draft and sign players that work for a coaches style The Pelicans had Lonzo Ball, JJ Reddick, Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson, Jackson Haynes and Jrue Holiday. The top 5 guys at their positions were clocked as the fastest 5 in NBA history but instead of hiring a coach that plays fast like Mike DAntoni , they hired Stan VanGundy Whos system is slow and based on defense. JJ would be great with the Lakers with a new GM. Rob is not putting good rosters around LeBron. He brought in Westbrook instead of Kyrie then passed in Kyrie a second time to run it back with DLo.

You know this conversation started around black coaches it's a conversation that has existed within all team sports that black players operate in however not boxing but white players have never had the problem of jumping into coaching roles hell, it wouldn't surprise me if bench warmers like matt bonner or the white mamba got a coaching role but for a dude like baron Davis or Mo Williams to get a coaching role they would basically have to start from the bottom not saying JJ reddick isn't deserving however im saying that's not where the conversation is same with QB's in the NFL and Coaches is soccer the Intelligence of black athletes has always been in question however they are freakishly athletic and uniquely gifted whilst most white players are described as "having a high basketball I.Q." someone said matt mcclung has a high basketball i.q. an it's the same stuff in reverse matt is a freakish athlete doesn't play the game a coach wants him to play dude is a small 6ft2 no one wants a small 6ft2 guard as a scorer him an derrick rose are listed at the same height Westbrook is 1 inch bigger scot henderson is the same height at 6ft 2 but they are a big 6ft2 if he played high i.q. basketball he would be in the league, well he wouldn't of been in the G[Leauge whatever, typed too much

@lashonsmith8294 no. I'm saying bron and AD are trying to win. Bron probably hasn't been coachable since his Miami trip. He's a winning player. Is JJ a real basketball savant? He has no experiential knowledge of what it take, to be an NBA Champion because he never won, nor does he have the experiential knowledge of how to be an all star, in the NBA because he never was a all star. The Lakers have 17 NBA Championships and have to protect its legacy. JJ is in the media space, with major networks, so some formal NBA Players, are willing to gravitate towards JJ because they never won a NBA Championship and do not have the experiential knowledge of winning a NBA Championship, as former NBA players. Nor do they know, what it takes, to be a NBA Champion. If, you talk to Byrd, Magic, Jordan, Isiah, Kobe if he was living, I believe JJ would not be on their radar. You have some Sports Journalists afraid to be honest, regarding JJ, if he should be Lakers new head coach. Gilbert talking about what he experience with JJ, on sideline. Gilbert Arenas, we expect more from you. I know you want to stay in the grace of LBJ and JJ. If, you were buying the Lakers Gilbert at 100 percent ownership next Wednesday, are you hiring JJ, to be head coach, for your Laker Team, as owner and you are expecting to win a NBA Championship immediately? Why would any guard in the NBA, want to duplicate JJ, as a guard, in the NBA, when JJ was a scrub, as a player, in my view? That, position he had could of been given to a more worthy player, that should have made the NBA. JJ have zero NBA coaching experience, nor do he have any College Coaching experience. JJ was a NBA dud and to allow the Tom Cruise look, to fool you. I want you to know, JJ is not mission impossible. Kobe would never had told Jennie Buss, to hire JJ, as head coach at this juncture. You have to be almost senile former NBA players or drunk on something heavy, to actually consider JJ, to be Lakers head coach. Remember, Boston and Lakers have the most NBA Championships. The expectation should be different JJ bandwagon former NBA Players. There is a old saying, if you scare, say you scare. I never expect you Arenas, to walk on egg shells. I know you trying to help JJ Arenas? Opinion The Lakers fans deserve more. Opinion
