It's very interesting listening to them talk about retiring from football because everything they're saying is very similar to all the things most of us experience after leaving the military. Such a great podcast! JJ is a special human and I will argue that he may have had the most dominant season (2014) in NFL History and one of the most dominant multi-season stretches (2021-2015, 3x DPOY) for a defensive player.

What a great episode I am from Chicago and yeah I was unaware of any other city that has a flag and Chris said that the St. Louis people know they have a flag, but you played there essentially lived there for multiple years and had no idea about it, which proves Kyle’s point, which I am a Bears season-ticket holder, and still on and where my Long jersey, because CHICAGO is just a sports town, (I even had my college graduation party at a private room at Ditka’s steakhouse. My parents were like you and your friends consumed more liquor than food and it was a steakhouse. It was incredible though I have just the best parents in the World) even though we know, we’re gonna suck for the most part, even though the Blackhawks pulled through and then finally the Cubs did I am a diehard Cubs fan seen Kyle rock the Soxs jersey I believe that’s where he threw out the pitch do not support that although I’ll be enough my brothers and I am Cubs fans, my parents Sox fans, so that’s always fun. It’s also fun my dad played football at Ohio State and my brothers wife’s dad played football at the University of Michigan the biggest football rivalry in our area comparable to Alabama and Auburn, I also lived and worked in Wisconsin for a few years my family owned a business & factory up there, I lived in Madison though, which is where the University of Wisconsin is and I worked in Portage, WI, which is right next to Wisconsin Dells but all that’s in that town is the jail that Jeffrey Dahmer was killed at I believe by fellow inmates a Walmart, a grocery store, some fast food places and like 60 bars 60 but like 40 it was insane they didn’t have a Starbucks, but they had just a ton of bars and I don’t know if this is still the law there, but it used to be that any kid could go into a bar with his parents, and I believe the kid could also drink. Not sure if there was some sort of age thing I assume there would be turn on the light obviously like a six year old drink, but I believe it was up to the parents for the most part, and I think that Wisconsin that would’ve been the greatest commencement ever. It would’ve gone down in history the beers under the seat or even the gift cards in the state of Wisconsin that is so appropriate. It fits it so well how can you say you don’t associate you can associate graduation with alcohol in the state of Wisconsin also coming from Chicago they hate Illinois people will really Illinois drivers and I drove a red Audi TT convertible and I got tickets all of the time and it matter whenever I said the first thing the cops I said to me was this in Chicago you can’t drive like that here or this is an Illinois you can’t drive like that here, I rambled enough now, this was just a great episode all around

For a stretch of time he was the most dominant player in the NFL and possibly history. But there is little doubt he overtrained and worked his body too hard and it might have shaved years off his career, although dude is First Ballot HOF.
