Modifying Ford F-150/Raptor steering wheel (2015-19)

Tips: has to be narrow pin. Maybe like knitting needle or thinner. Second hole inside is much narrower. I used thick copper wire. If it's not unlocking try pressing airbag in while inserting pin until it clicks out. Also don't forget to put connector locks when you put it back in or you will get airbag light.

When i get my raptor I’ll be putting gloss black or carbon fibre on the steering .I’ve already seen a couple of fake carbon fibre bits for the steering but if I manage to find real ones that’ll be dope! Just an update ive ordered a raptor.

Thanks for the info and video. Question, why did you change the bezel on the wheel? Was it cracked or did you replace it with a different finish? I need to replace my worn out 2018 Raptor one and saw a 2019 had the RAPTOR logo in the lower center. Thanks.

Only way is to buy a software Called Forescan. This allows owners to modify lots of different setting on truck. I know right!

Thanks for the video. I have a 2019 raptor and the plastic cover where you press to honk has cracked for a second time under the Ford logo. The first was replaced under warranty but it once again has cracked and I’m out of bumper to bumper so replacing myself. $82k truck with an airbag cover likely taken from a Kia Rio 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s terrible. I had Ford replace mine after buying used. Once they replace it I assume they have a warranty in place for that item.

Thanks! Your best bet is a junkyard or possibly Craig’s list if you just want the trim cover. Ford doesn’t sell it separate from the steering wheel! I got mine from a local junk yard. Paid $15!

Where did you buy the aluminum trim? Can you buy it from ford parts as an only item not part of the assembly?

No unfortunately Ford doesn’t sell these individually. They make you purchase the entire steering wheel! Junk yards would be your best & cheapest way to get one. Thanks for watching!

I purchased them from a company called Rappy Graphics. They specialize in Ford Raptor stuff but it’s all interchangeable to the F150

I believe it said it was from a 2017 Ford F-150 platinum. They just had all the columns on a bench so really no telling.
