No matter what I did it doesn't connect. I have the Bluetooth Function on, went down to pairing on my camera and I pressed the shutter button plus the left focus/zoom button. The red blinker came on but the pairing doesn't show it being paired. I also made sure that the Lock is not on. I watched your video a number of times and still could not get it to pair. What am I doing wrong?

I have the Sony ZV-1
@jondeanedits3 жыл бұрын
So sorry to hear. My only thought was trying to switch the lock but you said you did that. Perhaps also worth changing the battery as that might be faulty I guess? Otherwise it sounds like either the remote is faulty or the Bluetooth function on your ZV-1 is…but that’s less likely to be the problem. The issue is more likely to be the remote. I would contact the seller and/or JJC directly. Sorry to not be more help.
@robrobyte3 жыл бұрын
@@Sheelatina Hello, you have to put the Bluetooth on the Sony on and also the Bluetooth Remote Control function on, in the menu of the ZV1. 2 steps in the menu under the Bluetooth on function. And then you can pair the remote with the Sony, not before you have done both. At least are all functions on the remote available. You can also delete pairings under the first bluetooth menu. Excuse my terrible english For better understanding, look here kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5nCqYx4osl5gtU, time 03:22 in the video

Mine would not work at all, despite unlocking and new battery. No indicator lights on remote when pressing buttons.

Sorry for the delay in reply. Sorry to hear that. I assume you played with the lock switch. As per the video I thought it was unlocked at one stage but it was actually locked. Otherwise it sounds like you might need to send it back unfortunately. Hope you get it sorted.

Thanks for the video! Have you tried the range of the remote? And how’s the focus function?
@jondeanedits2 жыл бұрын
Hi appreciate your comment. Just did some testing round my house on the range. I was still getting the remote to control my ZV1 at 32FT (9.75metres). I then ran out of space in my house and went outside. It didn’t work when I was outside - through walls etc. (my wife was keeping an eye on it.). Safe to say though it worked round corners and internal walls definitely up to 32FT. The focus switch works well when the camera is in manual focus. Operated as expected on my ZV1 and was able to adjust the focus fine. :)

I just bought it after watching your video. Love it. However, I have not figured out how to power off the remote when I am done. Do you know how to turn it off?
@jondeanedits2 жыл бұрын
Glad the video helped. That is a good question. I don’t think you can. All I’ve been doing is switching the lock slider to the dot when I’m not using it. If you aren’t using it for a while it might be an idea to take the battery out completely. :)
@djdannybhtx2 жыл бұрын
Maybe I missed it, but can you power on and off the camera with the remote?
@jondeanedits2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks for watching. Great question. Just looked at the remote. No it doesn’t have a button to turn the camera on/off. That would be a great feature to have.

So sorry for the delay in reply. Unfortunately this appears to only be officially compatible with Sony cameras according to Amazon’s description in the UK. Amazon state it’s compatible with: Sony ZV-E10 a1, a7C, a7S III, ZV-1, a6100, a6400, a6600, a7 III, a7R III, a7R IV, a9, a9 II, DSC-RX0 II, DSC-RX100 VII, FX3, a7R4A, a7R4A I would probably look to send it back if you haven’t already.

When taking photos does it focus?
@jondeanedits3 жыл бұрын
Hi. So sorry for the delay in reply. Yes the remote has a switch so you can select focus or zoom. Then you can use the W and T button to focus if you are in manual focus when doing photography. Just tested it and it works well. :)

do we need to pair everytime when camera turn off? mine is sony a6400
@jondeanedits3 жыл бұрын
No mine stays paired - works straight away each time the camera turns on without touching any settings. I’m guessing it would do the same on the a6400. :)
