Thank you for this! E19 came up on Thursday! Ordered the part for £19 and arrived Saturday ! Fitted with no hassle and working hours before we host a 40th birthday party for my fiancé! Much appreciated… had to half turn the old valve to release the trapped water!

Thanks to your video and other KZbin videos on this error code 19 I ordered a replacement valve from espares for my model of Bosch dishwasher. When replacing the valve I found that some liquid dishwashing fluid smeared on the o ring helped when trying to push it in far enough to get the tabs into the slots. As mine was an integrated dishwasher I found the hardest part was removing and putting back my jammed in place kicker board to allow me to pull out the machine. Apart from that everything was quite straightforward. When running the machine to check it was working without leaks etc I noticed the body of the solenoid valve got quite hot at times. Perhaps this is why they are prone to fail. Thanks for posting your video.

Did this job in around 15 minutes of slow methodical work. Easy to do, a simple satisfying job. I used a flat screwdriver to seat the valve before engaging the tabs in turning it. It was simple to do. Bit of water leaks out when you remove the old one, towel is enough to soak that up. Nice simple job and cost £22.50 delivered from Amazon as in provided link. Bosch Series 2 dishwasher.

As long as the water doesn't splash onto the machine internals, this is a good tip. Thank you.

Absolutely brilliant. A new heat exchanger cost about £20. Bit fiddly putting it in. And reckoned it was better to put the black washer in first rather than when round the new bit. Works a treat. Many thanks.

I'm not having the same issue, but water is bypassing this same valve and going into my dishwasher after a cycle has finished. I confirmed this by marking the water level after the cycle finished and then watching it go down, and also watching a slow drip inside the machine. This video has been helpful in showing me how to remove the valve to put the new one in.

Great Video - just installed the part. was a bit fiddly but got there in the end and saved paying €500 for a new Bosch model. Valve cost €29.30 inc shipping from Bosch. Thanks a lot!!

...many thanks, followed your demo to the letter and it seems to have worked a treat...yes the replacement valve was hard to put back in...I would add take out the two screws in the middle of the water container as well as the two side clips for a bit more room ...If we hadn't found your demo we may well have bought a new dishwasher...so thanks again.

Hi there. Just wanted to say thank you for the info. The little gadget cost me about 30 quid and the fix took less than an hour (my side panel wouldn't come off until the top lid was taken off). So thank you. Saved me a heap and increased my confidence in dealing with "simple" fixes like this.

Thank you! Works the same on our Siemens dishwasher! If you’re reading and about to start on yours: As others also mentioned, you might be able to first turn the valve and then unplug the wires, that’s easier than trying to unplug first. My new valve unit is a tiny bit bigger than the old. Instead of forcing it in try to file away a bit of plastic that was in the way. Also, pushing in the new one so that the rubber O ring sits nicely and the ‘wings’ of the valve line up with the slots (there’s one on the back side too, make sure the valve is in straight) took quite some force. Wiggle and push.

Thank you. I can add some tips and suggestions. On a series 6 you have to remove top panel, but it’s an easy as it gets, just pulling it upwards does it, and only one screw holds side panel. Draining doesn’t really takes too long. All you have to do is move the broken solenoid and let air go through. Water does not leak, it goes inside the dishwasher, no problem at all. I recommend using the original part, it’s cheaper than the alternatives and guarantees 100% compatibility. B/S/H 11033896 Changing it doesn’t takes more than 10 minutes, and really solves the error. No need to program anything, plug and play. The only thing that you need to pay attention is reinstalling the new part. You have to be sure it sits perfectly and maybe help it going in with a flat screwdriver pushing a little from behind, nothing hard. Hope this helps.

I saw others recommend removing the part BEFORE trying to unclip the eletrics plug. I found it impossible until I extracted the part, making access to the plug much easier and thus making disconnection a breeze. It is very tricky to say the least. This the most difficult part of the whole operation, you chose to keep hidden in your video so that in both instances, your viewers couldn't see a damned thing? Apart from that, your video was excellent. Well done Joe.

Excellent video, helped me solve my problem. I found that pushing down on the valve, rather than pushing the clip bit to the left, was easier on fingers and quicker. I saw someone state they also incurred an E15 error afterwards. I too drained all water, but got this fault. I believe this can be rectified properly from other KZbin videos (video idea for you perhaps)! Note: I think the E15 was from having to tip/wiggle the unit back in/probably sloshed any remaining water about a tad!

EDIT: as I can see at 3:54 there are two "solenoids" ??? the one that is under the solenoid that you change what is for? (the one connected to reservoir)

Thanks for the video, really clear and very helpful. My question is about the order in which you do the repair and I wonder if it could be done slightly differently. Regarding the removal of electrical clip from the part, could this wait until after the draining and after the part has been turned? It's tricky to access but after turning it would be easier, or is there a good reason why not to do it this way?
@JJcorrosive3 жыл бұрын
Yes you're right, when making this video, I was worried that people would splash water on the internal electrical parts, so I made the decision to go slow and steady, it's safer, and easier to control, however slower to drain. The advantage of the slow drain way is, if you need to stop the water draining out, you can put the plug/part back in.
