JJRC Q65 Make it crawl

I will try to make my JJRC Q65 almost as capable in terrain as my other 1:10 scale cars. After all it´s allmost exactly 1:10 scale in length and height but only 1:12 in width. What I have to do is uppgrade the motor to get torque and drivetrain to stand the torque plus find the right wheels that give grip and a wider stance, as the car is a bit too narrow and will roll over too easy. This video shows my first attempts, plus some of the small other modifications, of which the functional roll cage is the most important.

@@mariaclaraepapai Yes, almost. The original Willys MB jeep is 3,36 m long, 1,57 m wide and 1,77 m high. This model is 34,5 cm long, 13 cm wide and 17 cm high, so the scale is almost exactly 1:10 in length and height but 1:12 in width.

Hi! Here´s a link to a seller on Ebay. There are more sellers too if you look around. The jeep is too top heavy. I have one myself and stuck some tire weights underneath. Four per side underneath, two per side in that sloped section on the underside below the hood, two per side in the very rear corner wheel well, and the plastic pans under the passenger compartment can hide another 8-12 of them. Weights it down really good and the suspension still works fine. Then got the steel wheel hugs for it. Very hard to tip now and when it does it rights itself before rolling over. New electronics and motor will be a while though thanks to that coronavirus alert

Hello! Very interesting tips & trix, worth testing. I have now put all metal axles and even bigger wheels on, weighted in the front, with wider track, which also makes it less prone to tip over.
