I plan on reviewing the Fimi A3 soon, but have not yet flown it... From what I know, this one has optical flow & ultra sonic sensors, while the Fimi does not. This one has a 4K version and is also foldable & more compact than the Fimi. This one has a true 3-axis gimbal, while the Fimi has a 2-axis gimbal (with EIS - Electronic Image Stabilization) to account for the third axis... All that said, the Fimi does come with its own FPV screen that operates on 5.8 Ghz transmission. While this is good, I’ve heard its FPV range is not too far, while the 5G WiFi FPV range of this drone is very good. Lastly, I believe this drone is slightly less expensive...

DanDi I personally chose the JJRC x12 4K version because it was basically 1/2 the price in my area (250 w/1 battery rather than 499). I felt the JJRC had more to offer for the price. This was my first drone, so that also had a factor in my choice.

Thanks, try going to the settings of the app and go to where you can pair the controller… This will allow you to bind the controller to the drone so that you can fly it…

Can you tell me how do I find the serial # of the phone - It does not show clearly when I look into the battery compartment(It says Model X12 and letter FOUR). You use your phone, a lot of modern phones have 5.8ghz WiFi and 2.4ghz WiFi. Drone connects to controller via wifi, then phone connects to controller via wifi. You just have to search for controller WiFi name and connect to it.

There are a few factors to consider such as price, the importance of the camera, the flight characteristics of the drone, etc. To some people, the camera means everything, so they could have a very smooth flying drone, but not like it if the camera is low quality. Then there are some that are only concerned about how well the drone flies and they don’t even care about the camera. So long story short, making it easy… The drone featured in this video would make an excellent beginners drone (because it is easy to fly, is at an affordable price, and takes good quality video & pictures)... So the JJRC X12 is a good beginner drone...

As far as I know, JJRC does not officially sell this type of an add-on, but I’m sure there are probably third-party vendors or companies that may have it or you might even be able to create one yourself using Styrofoam… If you search the web, you might find tutorials on how to do this or maybe even a seller that has this product…

That’s a tough one (as they are both very good and have their own particular strengths). This one does feature optical flow and ultrasonic sensors underneath the drone, which provides more stability for beginner pilots & in certain situations... The Hubsan Zino does not have this. On the other hand, the Hubsan Zino does have a better camera and longer flight time, but at a higher price...

Drones can handle a little sprinkle, but if large amounts of water or submersion is involved, then the water can enter the fuselage & electronics and can cause damage...

No, in fact, you can technically fly this drone with just the controller (and no phone) of course some of the features won’t be available when flying without the phone. When flying with a phone, it is used to connect to either the controller or drone’s WiFi hotspot, but not the Internet...

That’s an interesting comparison (as both of those drones are game changers for 2019)… The X12 for having the best features in a sub-250 dollar drone and the Mini for having the best features in a sub-250 gram drone. So it depends on budget and regulations. If you’re tight on budget and can only spend about $250 and don’t mind registering your drone, then the X12 might be the best way to go, but if you have 400 or more dollars and want a drone that doesn’t require FAA registration, then the Mini is probably the best route to go...

Nope, not at all... I simply use royalty & copyright free music... Audio Library, ArgoFox, etc are good channels on KZbin for that...
