The mismanagement of the Green/Poole situation occurred before the punch was ever thrown. There was tension in the locker room because several players were up for extension and there wouldn't be enough for multiple players to get their max contracts. And there was various reports on how Jordan Poole was was behaving and how a lot of the Warrior players were tired of his attitude. A coach should have been between Poole and Green as soon as they started yapping.

Because it matters more, fights happen all the time (info from former players), but you leak that information it becomes a lot worst for everyone.
