JK Rowling praised for calling out trans-activists while slamming a new Scottish law

The best-selling author has been receiving messages of support for calling out trans-activists while challenging Scotland's new hate crime law.
The Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021 sets out in Section 4 the characteristics protected by the act, which include: age, disability, religion or cultural group, sexual orientation and transgender identity.
The legislation doesn’t specifically ban hatred against women.
The Harry Potter author claimed the legislation is “wide open to abuse by activists” while referencing several trans-activists.
“Thank you for your seeming never-ending courage and humour, it is a light in dark times and has already made such a difference,” one user posted on X.
“Thank you for speaking for millions of us,” another person wrote.

Yes, some kids might think that transitioning is cool, but what they think transition is, vs. the reality, and when they're informed of what it means, helps clear the air, so to speak. Right now, kids do social transition which is names, dress and pronouns. Considering names and dress are already things kids can change, having the idea that if they do either (or both) means they're trans is not farfetched. No one talked about transition in school when I was a kid either - because being trans was like being gay, something that "Was not a thing". If you were gay, you'd best be strong to deal with the abuse you got. But it's not then, today's GLBTQIA+ kids are out, they're visible and they won't take being shoved back into the closet, nor should they.
