Watching your video....could you make your square smaller to save wasting so much mesh? On the purple flower bud. Instead of 10 inch, maybe do a 5 inch? Love your wreaths. I'll be checking on Pinterest for your wreaths! Happy New Year! 🎉🎉🎉

Jennifer, very beautiful. If you wanted to make the petal bigger, could you tie it off with the pipe cleaner further down like at the bottom of the gathered triange, or use 21 inch mesh instead of 10 inch? Hope that makes sense. All your flowers are awesome.

Beautiful. love this method. I'm not very crafty. I saw an etsy site ,WelcomingWreathsMore, that looked like it used the same method to make a blue daisy. Any ideas how they made theirs? I would like to try and combined the two. I liked your honesty on how long this takes to make. Please make more videos. You have a very calm voice. It makes me feel I can make this. Thank you so much.

Kathy Wags Hi Kathy, thank you! If the petals are a larger size they may have used 21 inch mesh to make a square. I'm not sure though as I haven't tried that yet. My allergies were so bad when I made this video, I was so afraid I sounded awful, so thank you! 😃

you can use the mesh you trimmed off as filler in a vase. ( I used a clear fish bowl) and make a centerpiece that co-ordinates with the wreath.

Gina B. Hi Gina, thank you! I should've gotten more into the yellow petals than I did, I was a little nervous making the video and it slipped my mind to go back to that lol. They are just hot glued in there since it was a really tight fit. Next time I may run pipe cleaners across the center and use that. 😃

While I was watching you cut off the tail of the paddle I was wondering if it would be easier to use your roader cutter and a lay it on the mat to measure an inch from the pipe cleaner?! Yes I was trying to think to of what to do with the excess material!
@JKatsKreations4 жыл бұрын
On a single petal, cutting it with the rotary cutter could work because it's less material. A double petal is pretty thick though...I'd be afraid of cutting myself trying to get through it. 😬
@GeorgiaSissy4 жыл бұрын
Oh that is true! I was just trying to think of a way to help you out . I hope you don't mind my suggestion . I truly enjoy watching your tutorials !
@JKatsKreations4 жыл бұрын
@@GeorgiaSissy no, I don't mind at all! I love to hear other's input and ideas so don't worry! I am aware that a lot of people consider cutting the tails off as a waste, and I completely understand that. Also, cutting the tails is quite a chore. I wish there was a better way for this...but I've made these for a few years now and there just doesn't seem to be one (so far anyway lol). It still drives me crazy lol 😳😂

Gina B. Hey Gina, no, thank YOU for watching! It's funny because I was actually trying to create a rose wreath when I came up with these petals. Needless to say, the rose hasn't come to fruition yet, but at least I came up with something I can make designs with lol 😉😃

did you use cardboard or canvas mesh in center to glue to or just glued to each other love your design thanks
@JKatsKreations7 жыл бұрын
patsy downs Hi Patsy, on the purple one I just glued them to each other. The double petal made them really tight in the center, so the glue was plenty. I recently did another wreath with only single petals, so I had run pipe cleaners across the middle and attached the petals to those along with hot glue. 😃

Instead of wasting so much mesh, why don't you just cut your mesh shorter before making the bud? The bud, plus about an inch is all you need, right? So cut your mesh shorter before making the bud, then you don't have to cut it off after making the bud, and waste it. Right??
@JKatsKreations4 жыл бұрын
I tried cutting smaller pieces of mesh and it always ended up making smaller petals because I needed more than an inch to hold onto to properly form the petal and secure it. I've said many times over the years that I understand some people may feel there is a lot of wasted mesh with this petal and I always encourage experimenting on your own and seeing what works best for you.
