When Mzee died no one got any wind until the body was flown back to Nairobi the following day in a Kenya Airforce plane model Caribou which landed at the then KAF Kenya airforce, All personnel at the airstrip were asked to move to the parade ground that's next to the airmen's mess club and were never given a reason why but this was meant to stop the news spreading before it had been announced officially At the airstrip was then Sgt David Mukavi, the only person who was allowed to be at the airstrip and make sure the body had been put in an ambulance and sent to the morgue. Moi had never seen the police commissioner look for him in his life, and he knew something was wrong when he saw him. after they landed in Nairobi, everything had been put in place that he would be sworn in that's when it was announced that the Mzee has passed on.
