Manvile, Based on your responses, I went bought three sets of the XB-BLUAIC2-18 interconnects for $35.00 each for the Kenwood/Audison/JL system in my Porsche. You know that feeling you get when you know you are doing the wrong thing but do it anyhow because there is a chance it will work? I should have trusted my gut feeling. I have clearly audible noise in the system. A buzz that doesn't change with engine speed. A friend is getting me the 'other guys' interconnects to see if that solves it.

Good on you guys! To further back you up on this query, I just have to say, wouldn't one want to know if a connection between a cable and an accessory was bad by actualy hearing "noise". It would be much easier to troubleshoot such a problem by hearing normal "noise" than to have complete silence. In such an event, one would wonder. Is my amplifier ok? Is my head unit ok? It could be any one or two (etc.) of a number of possible problems. After watching this video, I think the concern here is that you have good solid connections between accessories.

do you remember those old videos at GM Ford and I think Chrysler used to do way back in the day when they showed consumers how things work and how easy and clear it was? This is one of those videos. this is one of the big reasons why I still stay with American Hi-Fi when possible or Japanese. you just don't seem to get the headaches that you do with other aftermarket brands.

Guys a question. If the point is to show how well a wire is shielded then turning the wire into an antenna by not connecting the one end would serve as a great comparison when run over a power source. We understand that once both sides are connected it cleans up but wiring in a car from your head unit back to the amps 10-20 feet that wire might pick up interference on the way. Get their reference cable do test if u want to prove them cheating.

So what’s the purpose of having different levels of rca’s at different price points if they all do the same? Or did I miss something

Hot swapping RCA's tisk tisk... lol

cdnaudioguy, we only had the blue ones in our possession at the time of the shoot. It doesn't really matter, as all the cables are equally good in terms of rejecting this type of noise when they are actually connected at both ends. Nothing negative should be inferred about ANY cable when it is used with only one end connected. It's a pointless test.

I have this static sound that sometimes (temporarily) goes away by turning my rear defroster on/off several times. The sound is not coming through the subwoofer, but only through the right rear 6x9. I tried rerouting the RCA cables and even tried rerouting the speaker wires to the right rear speaker, but to no avail. I wonder if twisted speaker wires would get rid of it? Anyone?
@brickwal92tt3 жыл бұрын
Why stop there? Why did you not try a 3rd pair of non-twisted cable? Show us if it makes any difference? I bet it doesn't!

Hello I want to purchase a RCA Jl audio, but you guys have 2 models: the XE and XD, wich its the diference? Thank you
@JLAudioInc3 жыл бұрын
XE offers more rugged construction than the older XB series or the Core XD series with braided coating, machined junctions and improved silver solder joints. As long as the XB are installed properly you most likely wouldn't hear a sound quality difference.

Fair enough, let's wait for their reponse. It was nicely done guys, I appreciate it :) But you could have used the same cable as they did. You did not even use the same JL Audio cable that they used, if you have this excuse that you did not have their signature series cable at the time of shooting this video. What about your own cable?
