You can try a ball head screw like on the Tamiyas for that link. Perhaps it'll just pop off instead of snapping.
@DerbyCityRC2 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion! I’ll see what I can find. It actually popped off 3 times before snapping on the 4th!! The original links never did that. Only since I had to replace the one side, the new ones do it consistently. Cheaper plastic or bad casting I guess!!

That JBL Cheetah does not want to be bashed!😝 very good effort on your part, not so much on the cars end. I’m gonna guess the hbx 2995 is your favorite to bash!

Poor cheetah isn’t finished getting bashed yet!! Bam! You got it!! You’ll see why the 2995 is my favorite very shortly. Wow is it a beast!!😎👍👍😂

Cold weather or perhaps the brace?
@DerbyCityRC2 жыл бұрын
Cold weather definitely. Also the newer link’s plastic is less flexible than the old. The brace has been on for much longer. If it wasn’t for that brace I would have lost my rear bulkhead a few times over. Thanks for watching!!

I need those bearings too. Destroyed the left rear one in mine

Same wheel mine blew out in! The ones I have linked in the description should be better bearings. I haven’t installed them yet, though.👍👍

@@DerbyCityRC I'm going to order them soon. I picked up that aluminum rod at home depot today and I'm going to make the strut brace like yours for mine. I've bent so many shock towers is isn't funny.

hi there :) maybe you can help me out :) i have an cheetah 120A my problem is the Motor its way to powerfull... everytime i push it to its limits the motor mount starts slipping and messing with the gear mesh i tightend the screws with more force then i would trust them .... i tried some loctite to stop the Motor Mount from slippin but everything i tried wont work ? do you have a trick for me ? i was thinking about slightly longer screws for more "pressure" on the motor mount ? maybe support the motor to stop it from moving ? great videos :) keep em coming :)
@DerbyCityRC2 жыл бұрын
Hello! You could try new screws that have a better bite. Can’t remember if I did that on mine or not. Could also try shoe goo under the motor. Will make it hard to remove or adjust in the future though. Try red loctite?
@Max.Mustermann.2 жыл бұрын
@@DerbyCityRC thanks for the fast response :) i was thinking about something like a shroud/bracket fixed to the chassis itself :) but before that (because it would be some work haha :D ) im goin to try longer screws and red Loctite :) Thanks o/
@DerbyCityRC2 жыл бұрын
No problem! Thats definitely one of the issues I’ve had to. The motor moving. Even bent a motor mount once. Shoved some foam under the motor but not sure how much that helped.

My cheetah front wheel seems to be stuck. I guess just wiggle it off huh
@DerbyCityRC2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Each wheel is difficult to pull off for the first time. Wiggle and gently tap axle with a hammer while pulling is what I did.

@stradale13102 жыл бұрын
Tbh Cheetah is a good basher if you have some upgrades to it. For the plastics I heard that you can spray it with WD40 and let it dry and it absorbs into the plastic and makes it a little bit more flexible. Maybe you should try it out? Btw my brother crashed my Cheetah into the fence and it broke the bumper and esc unglued from the chassis, bumper broke on the lower section
@DerbyCityRC2 жыл бұрын
Ya if those links continue to be an issue, I’ll try the metal ones. It would have been much worse if not for my chassis brace so I agree, it definitely needs upgrades. I’ve already done a lot lol. They’re price is a bit steep now for sure! 💰 That stinks! I’m on atleast my 3rd bumper!
