JLB Cheetah Slipper Issue RESOLVED! MOD

Hello Everyone,
For those of you that own a JLB Cheetah this is the worst part of owning one. The mod shown here will allow you to properly set the slipper clutch tension for your particular car.
As most of the JLB owners may know- the tightening hex nut is too tight from the factory and does not allow for ANY adjustments to the slipper!!
If you have been wondering why you are
stripping diffs or the rear pinion gear this is the root cause! Not being able to properly adjust the slipper tension :)
Part number for spring is at the end of the video :)
UPDATE: You can buy the spring here www.ebay.com/i...
UPDATE: Buy your JLB Cheetah Roller here www.ebay.com/i...
Feel free to hit me up with any questions or comments
Thanks for checking out the video

Dude just found your page , I love it your the only guy with helpful information about this truck ,if I may ask what was the slipper issue to begin with ? Whats up brotha much appreciate that my man!! The issue for me was stripped rear pinion gear assemblies once I started messing with bigger motors and tires! By being able to have an adjustable slipper clutch the car is more controlable, wheelies less and I can run 6S!! 👍✌️✌️🤛

I just ordered that part now. I have a lot of 4 s batteries that I want to use on this as well so with this slipper mod I expect it will handle it. My motor runs very hot quick in general. I installed a serious strong small fan which cools the motor right down though.

@@JapanRCAdventuresS Its works well but the build went little different to your because if I do it exactly the nut does not fit. I now burn out all the slipper clutches. It sometimes slightly lift the front if I punch but only slightly so its not that the clutch is slipping to much. I think I must do a serious mod with different slipper clutches.

What a great video bro. But I just need to ask, what happened to that little brass spacer? Do you still need that? And if you don’t, how does it affect the looseness for the whole assembly back and forth when you tighten it up? My Cheetah just ate thru a set of front and rear pinion gears in less than 2 mths, but damn do I love this car. Cheers bro and thanks for the tip. Subscribed. 👍🏼👍🏼

My bro excellent observation and yes you need the brass spacer for everything to line up!! This mod helps with those diff pinions lasting longer!! Try working with a loose slipper and work your way up according to your driving style!! Thank you for the sub and i hear you the car is an awesome machine!! Cheers 🍻✌️👍👊

I am finally busy rebuilding the diff. I think what R35 asked is where did the brass spacer go because it dissapeared towards the end of the vid, its not there anymore, yet you say its necessary but at the end of build its gone ? The reason I also bring this up is because with the brass spacer in place the diff housing does not fit into place due to the spring I think, so was this the reason for excluding the the brass spacer to get the diff housing to fit on the two alignment pins ? Will it work for a prolonged period without this spacer ?

open your rear diff case - pull out the diff and make sure the input gear “also referred to the bevel gear” is not stripped. Also look at your diff main gear and look for bent or broken teeth. The slipper mod helps by allowing the center diff to “slip”thereby reducing wheelies and transferring less power to the rear/front wheels prolonging your drivetrain

@JapanRCAdventuresS

You need to adust and run your car..test run and adjust!! try small adjustments and run each time!! Too tight is no good!! Looser means less wheelies!! Tighter means many wheelies and stripped gears more easily!!

@JapanRCAdventuresS
@JapanRCAdventuresS 4 жыл бұрын
Not sure i understand but spring used in the video is a Vkar Bison part number and to close it id use the same tool in the video! As far as how "tight" that will be a trial and error "tighter" less slip more wheelies, etc

Not a coil spring. The stock slipper uses those two black disc springs to provide tension to the clutch. They’re also called Belleville washers.
