When I first moved to and starting working in Cherry Hill, a local put me onto it and I was getting steaks once every few weeks. Their buffalo chicken cheesesteak is absolutely fantastic. But I didn't realize how famous they were. My dad worked in Pennsauken in the 80s and when I told him about it, he was like "is that the place that it's in that little alley off 70? I know that place." And then later I heard they won "Best in Philly" at least once, despite being in Jersey, which is one of the least shocking things because it is legitimately amazing.

I think it might be a Tri - State upper east coast thing . Because In NYC we do ketchup and mayo on Philly and chopped cheese . Ketchup on eggs is a thing for us too , some people do ketchup and mayo on a sausage bacon egg and cheese also . Don’t get me started on cream cheese and extra bacon on a cinnamon bagel 🥯 😊 Iykyk

For all you Phillies, i want to take you back to the best sandwich ever in the world, wonder how far back can you go, there was a sandwich mainly sold in West Philly, in the 60s and 70s, called the " Mama Jama, or Mami Jamie, i forget exactly the correct name, but i heard it called both, i was not from Philly, but had relatives living there who i used to visit in the summer, i was just wondering if anyone out there remember that iconic sandwich.

Love Chick's, way better than Jersey Joe's in Berlin on the white horse pike across from the mart, they're not bad but not to friendly and a little rude when the guy is in a mood i guess. They also don't like to accommodate customers which i can respect (you do it how you do it) but Chick's are super friendly and I've been there like 10 minutes before they close and still good service (yes i felt bad i forgot they close early) so had to tip extra

JL ... With a dad who's a foodie like you, why isn't your son chowing down too? Don't you feed the kid? Chick's Deli ... Best cheesesteaks (and hoagies*) in south Jersey! BUT ... I lived in Cherry Hill, less than a mile from Chick's, for about 5 years before I found them. But that's good ... not just anyone can eat there. You first have to know where it is and how to get in there. * They use Thumann's deli meats from north Jersey on their hoagies. The best! And hard to find in south Jersey.
