I love Cory's insight and thoughtful commentary. Although, he does seem to be a little too wordy. Sometimes he just can stop chatting! ROCK ON CORY!

Take away from days 94-96. 1) The Truman show is great! 2) Pain sucks. 3) The kindness of strangers strengthens my faith in humanity. 4) Max doses of Vitamin I and Tylenol are a must. Ya'll are doing great! Keep it up!

My favorite couple on the PCT 💖 I'm so sorry that you are having this pain it's not fun. Take care of yourself out there. I'm glad that you two were able to go to a hotel and get some good rest. Sometimes your body just needs to sleep in a comfy bed. I really like your new clothing. There's nothing wrong with shopping at Walmart. I get alot of my hiking clothing there so if they get torn I don't feel as guilty. I think that the snow is following you. But we wish you both well and take care out there. Sending you both lot's of love from Oregon 💖 Stay blessed 🙏

Sometimes a cramping muscle can be relaxed with an ice rub. A PT taught me how to do my wife's back and it helped her a lot. I'd come home from work, give her an ice rub, and she would fall asleep. Have fun. Good Luck, Rick

Hi. If you want to try anti-inflammatory herbs turmeric and ginger come to mind. Also, Black Cohosh Root is anti-spasmodic for skeletal muscles. I take these herbs and find great benefit. Thanks for sharing your journey!

Yep the burn area was likely older and definitely outside of the range of the Dixie fire. There were a lot of fires in that region the prior year due to incessant lightning activity. You probably were in the zone of the 2020 "Red Salmon Complex" 145,000 acres.

I had problems with neck like that, then i did multiple sessions with a chiropractor. Message then adjust. Maybe 6 times. No more problem now. I wonder if that pac over time has caused vertebrae to go out of place, also one jared miss step could maybe have caused misalignment. I am a believer in chiropractor for sure now. I hope you look into it when you get a chance, the longer you leave it the more sessions it takes to help those muscles hold those vertebrae in place. Hike on rocket.

Beautiful snowy mountain scenery. Good that you were in the motel when the inclement weather came. A chiropractor could probably solve your neck pain. I'd guess your backpack is causing it. Chiropractors do amazing pain-killing adjustments. I had chiropractic adjustments for many years and the results were wonderful. It's probably not easy to find a chiropractor in the towns along the trail, but even if you can get in a few adjustments, it would help. I can almost guarantee it. He/she could probably give you some good hiking tips to avoid aggravating your condition. Last time I watched your video, you said you were quitting the trail due to medical issues. You must've gotten them solved. So good.

My suggestion is to see a chiropractor, your spine it out of alignment from all the hiking and carrying pack, a couple of session will take care of the issue

I get those knots in my back a lot. It’s probably how you are sleeping. The more you mess with that area, the worse it seems to get so try not messing with it for a day or so and sleep on your stomach.

You two are rocking it!! I would get peppermint oil for the knots. I use Young Living and they recommend carrier oil but I am a straight up girl, don't use carrier oil just put it on. Peppermint is great even for nausea and gets you breathing great if congested. Safe safe.

I think you are in an older burn d at but the Dixie fire might have plowed through there too. That might be the Carr fire burn or one of the other 100s we’ve had here the past few years. Glad you made it though CA without any fire closures. Hopefully OR and WA will remain fire free this year. It would be the first summer without a fire in 10 yrs but one can hope

With a sore neck or painful joints you may be better off taking an NSAID like ibuprofen which is an anti-inflammatory. Tylenol is more pain and fever reducer. Also ice or heat will help.

GIRL. You need an MRI. Stiff neck and pain in my scapula led me to C5-C6 Cervical Fusion. I cried and sat in a chair for 6 weeks before I could get the surgery. I know you are a nurse, but sometimes we convince ourselves things are not as serious as they really are. Try sleeping or just laying down on the side that hurts and kinda hyper extend your neck and see if that will give you any relief. If it is pinched nerve from disc bulge or rupture it should help a little. Maybe. What do I know.... I just tried to light my cigarette with a tube of chapstick.
