Not so, a while back Cory told me that you have to let the boys breathe. Man of few words but when he speaks he is spot on 😆.

I did the 70 mile section before Etna and it was gorgeous! Saw a couple bears and lots of cat scat. The Mt Adams section will blow you away! And north cascades is incredible.

So wonderful to see Shasta with snow on it! It always has snow on it through the summer, but last year I was up there and there was no snow. So scary! Thanks for your posts! I'm loving them!

You're doing very well. You seem very happy. Enjoy your great adventure. I took Ibuprofen for a couple of decades to manage my pain. It didn't seem to help so I added aspirin and that helped alot. I then stopped the vitamin I and it made no difference so, I've been taking aspirin for a couple more decades and it works well for me. Retiring and allowing my old wounds to finally heal was the best cure. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

I had a few minutes to get to Cal and Lyla's back story and PCT narrative . . . OMG AYFKM . . . What they were doing while you guys were in a condo in Mammoth waiting out that storm, they are bad-ass beyond all comprehension.

This was great, the best yet. Loved the tent dialog on night 92, I’m still laughing 😂. Love how flexible and pragmatic and adaptable you and your group is. Take care, Paul

yeah its been a weird winter/spring this year in CA. you definitely benefitted in a thin snowpack and warmer temps early but we've been getting late spring storms this year. enjoying watching your vids!!!

You guys have sure put in the miles in a short amount of time. I'm watching multiple PCT thru hikers on YT and there are many that are at 90 days and either still in the desert or in the Sierras.

You know you are in nor cal cuz you are seeing more lichen on the trees, fir trees(that was a fir cone otherwise it’s hard to tell fir from spruce on video), and bear grass with its puffy white flowery top. You don’t see fir in So Cal cuz they are not drought tolerant. But in WA snd OR they are the dominant tree and you see far fewer pines. The Sierras are just such pine friendly mountains. So many species of pine. Nor Cal starts leaving the pines behind and things start looking more like Oregon. Which I know that’s where you are by now. Enjoy it and thanks for posting

Wow I’ve been enjoying your journey so much thank you for sharing my kids are working on a Duke Of Edinburg award and part of it is an adventure Journey and my daughter (14) is taking notes of what you wear and bring she wants to do a big journey now too. Thank you for being an inspiration to all of us (we are walking around our city path today with packs on to get ready for our hike/camp coming up

Not to detract from this amazing hike but for resources, a woman named Mary, from the UK completed the trail in 2019. " Marys outdoor adventures"on youtube, she has an extensive library on UK hikes and an exclusive vlog on the entire PCT hike along with food supplies, equipment. She is a good resource and her vlogs are so cheery uplifting and enjoyable!

Always curious how well certain foods keep on trail. The sausages and cheeses etc. Can you do a vid on just food when you get back?! Would love that. Also, you're ahead of her, but Arielle Shipe is on trail too! Love her and would be so fun to see the two of you together!

You guys may be right on track for meeting up with me at Man Eaten in the Marbles. I am headed there in about a week and you guys are about 100 miles from there at Castle Craggs headed north.
@JD-ir5fj2 жыл бұрын
But you guys may get held up in Etna because everybody drops down into Etna for the brewery. I delayed my trip to Man Eaten because of the stormy weather but the wildflower bloom with go ballistic after the early summer precipitation.

Poor pup, I can't see him completing hike, I shudder when I think of the coming lava rock fields in Oregon, yikes. Great vlog, thank you for taking the time to share with us!
@blueboats75302 жыл бұрын
You need not worry about Truman. He's already done over 3,000 miles of the CDT and PCT. He has thick booties when necessary and has already made it to Crater Lake including lava rock trails up to that point.

He already crushed the lava field in Oregon! He ran and rolled when we stopped for breaks. No need to worry about someone else’s dog who is cared for with much love

You should see if same can’t do a foot swap in the next town. They’ll probably be expensive because gas is so high and everyone is walking now so the price of feet has gone up too.
