Quick Kick was one of my favorites growing up. I'm pretty frustrated they never did much stuff with him after the 80s cartoons.
@Cestro4 жыл бұрын
He had a few defining moments in the 80's cartoons and the 1987 movie. But I think at some point in the late 80's and early 90's, they started pushing towards futuristic space characters. Plus with Snake Eyes, Jinx, and the later addition of Storm Shadow (who converted from Cobra to GI Joe), Quick Kick pretty much became a redundant background character on the team. Its probably why they killed him off in the comics in 91. I guess they felt there was no need for him anymore.

Jake Proven that the problem I have with Larry Hama comics. Not that I am against him or dislike his comics. I do appreciate him added a lot of interesting lore and making it a more realistic military story. Plus, I do like his story’s but there are times, he use military themes way too far, to the point of making other characters quite bland, forgettable, boring, and not that interested which is why I usually prefer watching the cartoon.
@jakeproven2564 жыл бұрын
Peter Ang I’m kinda with u. I’m one of those people who thinks there’s characters the comics do better like clutch , Steeler, and stalker. But at the same time there’s characters done better in the cartoon like hawk, breaker, flint, footloose, Thunder, Barbecue, leatherneck, wet-suit, beachhead, shipwreck, blowtorch, and sgt.slaughter deep six and lifeline. I feel some fans of the comics who don’t like the cartoon that much don’t give there cartoon counterparts enough credit. They’ll even say things like they were underused which if you’ve watched the cartoon you’d know isn’t. Those who are not big fans of the cartoon I respect that but don’t say a character was underused when clearly they weren’t. Half the battle.com lists character and vehicle usage in the cartoon.so I think they should check half the battle.com before saying a character was underused in the cartoon.

He definitely wasn't a professional soldier. At least I don't think he was and he certainly didn't dress like one but that's what made him unique.
