Oh man there’s so much to look for I don’t have time to look for it all 😂. I started with the easy stuff... silver, proofs, foreign, toned, obvious minting errors etc. those you can spot easily in any coin denomination. Some denominations have designs unique to itself. Pennies: wheats, Indian head Nickels: Buffalos, V’s, shields It can be overwhelming for sure but there’s so much obvious stuff to look for that makes it fun. When you get some rolls under your belt you’ll naturally start to get more familiar with more specific things like key dates, varieties, less noticeable errors. It’s a natural progression so just be patient. Most importantly HAVE FUN! Hope this helps

people can scan your name and address off of a screen with a bar code reader... and any "junk" silver is auto reported to the IRS with name, address, and how much upon purchase...
@MidwestCoinHunter5 жыл бұрын
CarlS. Thanks for the comment. Im under the impression the bar code shows the same information as manually entering the tracking number. If that’s the case the only details that provides is the city and zip code. It does not give physical address or name of recipient. With that being said this was an older video and any unboxings I do now I black out all addresses and tracking numbers including the bar codes. No need to risk anything! My research shows that retailers DO NOT automatically send customer info to IRS for purchases. My understanding is they are only required to send info in if the purchase was made with cash/cashiers check and was a minimum of $10,000. Thanks for watching!

Great video! I have a noob question, why do you order random quarters and dimes if you can get those like in every change from any store?
@MidwestCoinHunter4 жыл бұрын
Good question. These quarters and dimes are not the same kind of coins you can get in pocket change, grocery store or bank. The modern coins we have today are minted out of Nickel and Copper. Most of our U.S. coins that were minted prior to 1970 were made out of silver. 1965-1970 half dollars are 40% silver 1964 and older dollar, half dollar, quarters and dimes are 90% silver The halves, quarters and dimes I ordered here are all 90% silver coins and are worth much more for their silver content than their face value. Hope that helps!

Nice collection!! One question? Would you or anyone here recommend buying new 2018 - 2019 half dollars from the US Mint? I see they have 2 rolls for $30+. Any advice or thoughts on this??
@MidwestCoinHunter5 жыл бұрын
I personally would not but I’m not a collector in the true sense. A $10 premium on coins that probably won’t have much collectible value, unless there are errors or they grade high, is a bit steep. If you’re looking to pick some up get a hold of Mobile Coins. He has found a ton of 2018’s in boxes of half dollars that he searched, he may have some laying around that he would be willing to part with.

Christian johnson Good question. I personally do not stack fractional silver. I do weekly live streams and the fractional Silver is what I Give Away during those streams. Brother for future information cross of the tracking number. Anyone can track it to your home .
@MidwestCoinHunter5 жыл бұрын
Plata Pioneer Thanks for the concern, you’re the second person to comment on that 😬. Technically the tracking information only gives you City, State and Zip not a physical address that someone could show up at your house. However if someone knew your name (which I don’t give out or list anywhere) and was determined to find you for whatever reason they could try and look you up through the White pages with that partial info and try to narrow it down. Even still it would be a lot of work with most likely little results. With that said though I will be crossing out the tracking info from now on as it would be a good precautionary measure and only takes a few seconds to do. Thanks again for the heads up and thank you for watching, really appreciate it!

Who would buy a 1/10 silver round? Maybe a better question why would you buy the 1/10 oz round? Seems rather boring.
@MidwestCoinHunter5 жыл бұрын
Silver Gold People buy fractional silver for different reasons. In the past I use to wait to buy silver when spot dipped down. Many online retailers like the ones in this video offer free shipping on orders of $99. I would buy as many 1 oz silver rounds as I could up to $100 or as close to that as possible and if I wasn’t quite to that $100 I’d get a few 1/10 oz rounds to get me to the free shipping. The 1/10 oz rounds I purchased here are not for me. They are Silver give aways for my live streams and serve a specific purpose. I typically do not buy fractional silver (other than 1/2 oz on occasion) for my personal stack. At the end of the day people can buy whatever they want for whatever reason. Thanks for the comment!

Luis Monzon I prefer pure silver bullion over junk silver most days but will absolutely jump on a good deal on the 90% stuff if I can find it. I think it’s appealing to many because 1. It’s still silver 2. It has face value regardless of what spot is 3. It’s “fractional” so people like the idea of having it in bartering situations if that ever became necessary and 4. It has collectible and numismatic appeal. It’s appealing for many different reasons in my opinion but like I said I still prefer Bullion most days. Thanks for watching!
