I got a 79 box with 26's, daily driver. One thing that helps with braking, adding a hydroboost unit. For the trans, adding a trans cooler and an extra capacity pan. Keep up on the vids👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

@@Le.Phonzz Just look for the severe duty brakes for your vehicle. Update your vehicle braking components with rebuilt ones. Calipers, master cylinder, brake booster, wheel cylinders.

@@goodoboyde I have a TH350, with a stage 3 or 4 rebuild kit, 1800-2200 convertor, trans cooler and a deeper pan. If your trans, is in good shape and you're not showing out. Add a trans cooler and Lucas atf.

I love these builds, I just don't build one because of how much heat they create on the brakes. The caliper bolts can actually snap, and lock it in place. They also lose horsepower since the diff, and transmission gears are set up for the oem wheels. Big wheels affect a lot of stuff. Steering geometry, alignment, brakes, transmission, and diff life. I'm glad you know your stuff. Honestly as a car guy, we build stupid shit knowing what's gonna fuck up the car. Life is to short to drive something boring.

Peace Malcom, I used the formula from your other video to calculate the diff needed to go from 20’s to 24’s. My question is, since the diff required is a 3.68, and the closest dodge has is a 3.70 from the manual transmission. Can I use the 3.70 in an 8 speed auto, or can I use a 3.09 or 3.90? It’s just a N/A 5.7 at the moment.

If you took the wheel off and out of the equation and held the brake pedal and I put a 12 inch cheater pipe on the rotor and tried to turn it you would not have to mash the pedal as hard as you would or I had a four foot cheater pipe.more leverage means more braking needed to stop it from turning and the farther the rubber hitting the road is from the middle of the spindle the more leverage there is.

Yes they do have Quad (4) piston calipers. If your going to upgrade wheels might as well do brakes first. Even if it sets your time table to have your whip out back a month or 3 better to be safe then sorry cause it only 1 lil fender bender to retire a beautiful old school and most of us invest ALOT LOT LOT of $$$$$ in these whips to have them destroyed because you want to save a few bucks that could be the difference in years of riding or days!!!!!! Take your time do it right the first time!
