It will never not be the most frustrating thing in the world to have people say LAD-SDP is a bigger rivalry than LAD-SFG. Quite literally the most historic rivalry in all of baseball (yes, older than NYY-BOS by about 20 years). Survived a move across the country and the records are nearly equal. The Giants had played the Dodgers over 1,500 times before the Padres even existed. Recency be damned.

Yankees championships:27 Red Sox: 9 That's not a rivalry, that's a massacre. George Custer had more success against the Sioux. The only people thinking Yankees vs Red Sox is the biggest rivalry are Red Sox fans, who are known for being amongst the most childish and ill informed on the planet. For example, noted Red Sox fan Bill Simmons once wrote a column for ESPN where he said he wasn't sure Wade Boggs was a HOFer but was singing effusive praises to Adam Sandler's acting, showing that Bill knew nothing about either baseball or movies. Red Sox fans prior to 2004: Feel sorry for us! Curse of the Bambino! Haven't won a title in over 80 years! Their reaction when you pointed out to them that both the White Sox and Cubs had longer droughts than the Red Sox: Screw Chicago fans - feel sorry for us! Not a good look.

I agree. The 2001 WS is the best I've ever seen - and I'm a *Yankee* fan, mind you. The Tino and Brosius game-tying HRs with 2 out in the 9th on back-to-back nights (both must-win games, realistically speaking) are the most magical baseball moments I've ever witnessed. And although the end of game 7 was crushing to me, it was a fitting end to an unbelievable WS like that.

Mad bum 100% deserves a spot over him, but I can't say these other guys do though. Dodgers vs Padres? Did you ask 1,700 Padres fans?

Insane amount of disrespect to the Dodgers Giants rivalry in this video. It should be number 2 easily, just barely below Yankees Red Sox which is arguably the biggest sports rivalry ever

Considering the company there I don’t think it’s that egregious. I’d personally rather have Adley just because that kind of production is way harder to come by as a catcher

2nd in the league in bWAR so far this season, 22, no injury history that I can see. Hard to pick anyone else

Also I don't understand the Shohei pick. He's 29. He's probably going to start getting worse within 2 or 3 years. Assuming they have the exact same aging curve, you'd get 7 more years of Gunnar. 7 more cracks to put a championship team around a guy is a ton
