Thanks for sharing this info. I needed to remove my ECU for a stage 1 tune and your instructions helped immensely - even though you incorrectly labelled pieces a few times :). It was great that you identified the tools in advance, and gave detail about the various clips that connect the wiring the the ECU.

Remove the 6 connections on the battery (ECU) using a battery (screwdriver).. Haha :)

Just watched this with the road side assistant who came to replace my battery, the white part at the end was not needed to come off for battery to com out.

I’m looking to remove the TCM on my 2017 mini. Can you help?

I know where it is but have not had any need to remove mine since we have not found a tuning tool that can modify the tuning yet. It is located under the air box so it is easy to get to you just have to remove the shifter linkage and then there are a few bolts and connectors to remove. In the future we will make a video if we can find a tuning tool to tune them. I really don't like the way they shift so if anyone knows of one let us know. Thanks

Don't you feel silly going through all that mess to just change a battery? I only need a wrench to change out my battery on my Ford Fusion and NO tutorial! LOL! My father-in-law and watch this and change his own battery. Now that I saw this, I just can't!!!!! :-P
