Can you share your experience whether this plug and jack really work with 50 amps on a continuous base, e.g. running trolling motor for longer time at full throttle? Thanks very much.

They also make a 60A continuous rated "red" connector.

Great video, making a battery box for the Amped Outdoors 60ah and this is just the connector I need. Has it held up for you over time so far. I just ordered it off Amazon.

Because there is no real strain relief on the plug side, it's important to tin the plug wires in order to be able to increase the clamping force on the terminals

Yes, you can do that too. The cable gland does provide some strain relief as well as adding the shrink fit tubing at the connections.
