I went to work with my mum on this video - she was the animal handler for the wee dog. I’ve had to get the Woolwich ferry to get to the location it was filmed early 1983. The catering was on a double decker bus the band were very nice to work with. I’ve got photos of the go cart somewhere in my loft.

It was never released as a single in the US. HUGE mistake on Polydor's part. MTV was spreading like wildfire and UK acts had over half the Billboard Top 40 by the summer of '83. I believe Americans would've latched on to this song's catchy beat and novel "bitter" message...

I clearly remember "Just Got Lucky" on the chart, cuz I used to write the Top 40 down every weekend and I got annoyed because I wasn't sure how to spell JoBoxers! Oh man...1983...what some GREAT GREAT MEMORIES!!! Back when MTV actually played music videos. I was in 7th grade & I was 14 yrs old. I absolutely loved this song.
