I went to work with my mum on this video - she was the animal handler for the wee dog. I’ve had to get the Woolwich ferry to get to the location it was filmed early 1983. The catering was on a double decker bus the band were very nice to work with. I’ve got photos of the go cart somewhere in my loft.

not in the philippines.......one of the very beloved songs of the 80s and early 90s
@TeacherEric17311 ай бұрын
This song holds a special place in the hearts of many in my country and was even used as the theme song for a beloved movie called "Bagets", which centered around the lives of teenagers. It reminds us of the simpler times of the 80s when life was less complicated and free from the chaos and issues of today. Back then, gadgets were not as advanced as they are now, and we spent our time playing outside with friends and neighbors. In the Philippines, electricity was a luxury that only the wealthy could afford, and televisions were not yet as colored as today. We cherish these memories and hold them dear to our hearts.

It was never released as a single in the US. HUGE mistake on Polydor's part. MTV was spreading like wildfire and UK acts had over half the Billboard Top 40 by the summer of '83. I believe Americans would've latched on to this song's catchy beat and novel "bitter" message...
