Yes, this was supposed to be his last song and got a standing ovation. He was asked to do Jambalaya as an encore which he did. He does sound a little short winded here. Possibly due to his heart not getting enough oxygen. Bless Jo-el. RIP sir.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I got the songs way out of order, because of trimming some of them from some of the gaps and talk between songs. Tracy Pitcox, the Heart of Texas promoter who put on the show, might possibly have the song list. All of the videos I posted are included on a playlist, "2024 January - February Phone Videos."

Looked like Jo-El was not feeling well and in pain when he stopped to drink some water and cued the keyboard player to sing a line. The fiddler was looking concerned from 2:44-2:58. He still jammed on that accordion. Sad to think those were Jo-El Sonnier's last moments of his life. Reminds me MLB umpire John McSheery minutes before he collapsed on the floor from a massive heart attack in 1996 on opening day in Cincinnati at the very start of the Reds and Expos game.

@@LinkRocks I think some of the symptoms of an oncoming heart attack is dizziness, dehydration, nausea, slurred words, and pain in the jaw and upper arms. Same with a stroke. I don't know if Jo-El was aware that he was about to have a heart attack, but you can tell that something was wrong. Anyways, looked like he was still having fun on stage. So sad he's gone now. Tear Stained Letter is one of my favorite songs from Jo-El Sonnier as well as If Your Heart Should Ever Roll this Way Again. RIP Jo_El Sonnier.

@@Mr.NoName1972 Yep when he paused something was going on and perhaps he didn't know what it was or tried to go on and finish the show. It's sad that he passed away, but he got to go out doing what he loved. I'm a big fan too, his music will definitely live on.

He was physically struggling to sing what would his last performance, but he was still playing a mean accordion right up until....right up until the end.. RIP.
