What Jokoy said is true. My first job in the USA , a coworker asked me,"ARe you Chinese? " I said NO. I am Filipino from the Philippines. Then he asked again... "Where is the Philippines" So i explained to him that it is in ASIA just below the equator & blah blah blah. Then I asked him, "Don't they teach you World Geography in High School?" So sad. Good to know that FAMOUS FIL-AMs are being ambassadors teaching the world about the FIlipino culture and everything about the Philippines. Mabuhay!

Indeed, if u watch his stage comedy, u feel proud as Pinoy because his humor talks about a humorous typical Mom raising a kid in America but under Philippine culture.....this is what makes him efficient as comedian...he's American feature but his heart in comedy that makes him famous really in the US....hay naku i remember him asking somethìng what's inside the bag of his mom, and there was skyflakes biscuit, wtf....typical Pinoy....ha...ha...my mom had this too b4 though my Mom expired already....

I hope after the pandemic he can put a show in the Philippines at the SM Arena with some Fil AM comedian, that would be awesome. Wow! What a brave and determined man Jokoy is. He really wants to show case the Filipino culture, he fights for it and it paid off I guess. Him being exposed to Filipino culture when he mas young when his father still in Subic that made him embrace the Philippines more than the Americans and being raised by a Filipina mother that helps a lot to be patriotic to his roots.
