Maybe never a world champ, and most casuals probably have never heard of him, but a fantastic martial artist in his own regard. He seems like someone who met their full potential and did it with a fine tuned style unique to them, killer instinct, vicious expertly timed knees, horrific ground and pound, a dangerous and explosive guard/submission game, and an elevator sweep to arm bar that was a work of art.

People in norway love mma and follow it. Only pro mma is illegal in Norway, but there are norwegian fighters in ufc, pfl, one fc and so on. Norway has a good amateur national team. I moved here almost 3 years ago and i was shocked in the beginning.

when i was about 20 i was fortunate enough to be enrolled in Justin Brunkmanns Jiujitsu classes and had the chance to meet and have hellboy come to my band practice. he loves metal lol

Started working driving big ships at sea, then he got a stroke...no more fighting for Jocke I rolled with him a couple of times, maybe 00-01. His 70kg felt like 110kg. Good and humble dude!

Forgot to tell you that he gave UFC the finger. Used to fight in Japan with good contracts and respect. When UFC bought Pride or cant remember. The UFC offered Jocke a rookie deal...that pissed him off. Everybody except Dana W could see that Jocke could have been a real favourite in the UFC...well. Cheers Man!...Jocke was a rare bird who gave and took with the best of them! Godspeed

Why in the absolute fuck did the referee take so long to save aioki. He was out with the first shot. I think the ref bet on shinya to win and let him take those extra shots.
