Thank you for consistently putting out some of the most innovative music and music content on KZbin over the last 18 months. Your work just ticks all of my boxes as a percussionist with a soft spot for the piano whose heart beats in 2s and 3s. Captivating. Thank you.

This made me love Mahler 2 even more! Your little lick at 0:57 is ridiculously cool. This is absolutely brilliant, and performed at an inspiring technical level. Thank you for sharing!

your interpretations are fantastic. I feel like dancing every time (started with Beethoven in Havana : ) ). If it weren't for you I probably would have never listened to a Mahler composition. Keep doing these reinterpretations, you will go far and deep into people's hearts. And on dancefloors ^_^

I strongly recommend you go have a listen to the full symphony! One of the most awesome things ever written in my opinion!
@JoachimHorsley7 жыл бұрын
When I lived in NYC I would listen to this symphony with headphones on the way home. Sometimes I would read the score while I traveled, and people would often stop me on the train to tell me how much they loved Mahler. He's a very special composer who connects to people in profound ways. I hope he brings intense joy to your life- he tends to have that effect :).

I feel that this music is poor taste that is unfortunately over represented in our pop culture. Poorly executed, awkwardly stumbled rhythm, cheesy licks and visionless phrasing robs this music what once made it great and new. Playing this piece with piano is bad enough, because piano can’t really forward masterful orchestration and carry the small detail of music that’s hidden in melody and in harmony. Same problem is with other videos played on guitar. If you want to play these pieces - practice an orchestral instrument and go audition for a place in orchestra. If you are lucky enough you will have a opportunity to play this music properly.
