A great women of the Twentieth Century. Still with us thank God in the 21st.

I would love to attend....an evening with dear Joan. I suspect she would rebuke me for calling her dear. She never suffered fools gladly so I would ask her how much influence she had on Bob Dylan. He admits she had a lot. We love and respect one of the great women of social reform.

LOVE this performance! Joan + Indigo Girls = A great combination. And this Dylan classic is as perfect as they come.

Joan Baez. Performing in 2017. 76 years young. She’ something else. As was the music back then.

Joan is such a cute lady. Her voice makes her more beautiful.

What a beautiful performance. Joan looks so beautiful and grave. I am not fond of country performances but there is something really special about this one. Their vocal harmonies pull me into the speaker's mind with its grief and sorrow. It ain't no use to sit and wonder why.

Just the best version of this song I've found. Really needs the slower, more reflective tempo used here - most versions seem much too fast. Better than Joan Baez's much earlier 1960s version for that reason.

I thought it sounded a lot like the track on the "Ring Them Bells" album. Turns out it was the Indigo Girls there, too.

Emily's guitar playing has really come on in leaps and bounds here. I've heard it had suffered along with her voice, but it's quite strong here (at least, she's not repeating the same solo she did on the Ring Them Bells version or the version with Brandi Carlile off their live album).

Yes.., she was very much in love w him.. and when she went w him on his concert tour in Europe.. after he toured w her in the US and became popular as she invited.. encouraged.. welcomed and introduced him on stage w her.. he didn’t do the same w her in Europe and shunned her a bit.. something like that.. she was broken hearted and in her most recent interview still said it was the heart break, deep love of her life, saying the break up was quite hard on her.. and she figured that’s why Diamonds and Rust became her most popular song due to the deep emotions that she expressed in the song.. 💚💙♥️
