Beautiful, distinctive voice, still looking beautiful. If only she had lived long enough to have been part of the 1980s super soap phenomenon on. I could just see her in dynasty playing the mother of Alexis. She would’ve been absolutely phenomenal and endeared herself to a whole new generation of fans.

I love Joan Crawford, she truly was an amazing actress. My first memory of her is from the movie "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane", and it's still one of my favourites. We don't get actresses like her anymore.

In June 1973, she appeared on Channel 5 in New York to introduce her films. The audio of that appearance can be found here on my channel. Photos from it can be found in the 1973 gallery on my website. Additionally, Joan made a television appearance in September 1973 for the MDA telethon. However, it is not yet clear if she appeared in a video or audio recording for the telethon. I do know through documentation I have that her appearance was pre-recorded.

@@TheConcludingChapterofCrawford She did indeed appear in a video for the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon that year in the fall of 1973... I remember seeing it as child as a family member pointed it out to me as it was broadcast and they explained to me who it was at the time.
