Making out she was her sister. JC was unable to go downstairs. JC played the paraplegic. They both went to a party one night. BD was so drunk she could not drive. In the film you see JC turn round as she is opening the gates to the drive. Not thinking BD would put her foot on the accelerator and drive into JC . This is all explained either during the film or at the end. The beach scene shows BD has lost it completely. This is why I have said watch it several times to understand what really happened. The scene where Blanche was watching the television... You can actually see the 'wood glow' in the furniture! Well Done!

The dead bird and rat really pops in this colorized version as did the hammer. I think Bette Davis would approve for those reasons alone. Bravo.

One of her finest performances ! Davis deserved the Oscar that year ! She was brilliant. Just watch hercever changing mental and psychlogical torture that she goes through.

Funny, I think the complete opposite. Black and white more sinister.
