This is a Soundcheck for a performance at the 79th Annual Stern Grove Festival, a free series of summer concerts in San Francisco. As it is a soundcheck, presented to provide insight into the creative process of crafting a performance, no one is in stage attire, and there may be rough moments, interruptions, etc. The horn section and song selection for Joan Osborne's Soul Revue were unique for this show.

Once you hear her with the Funk Brothers doing this song every other version doesn’t cut it. I’d be embarrassed to try and play a song that has been so professionally done by the Funk Brothers. I stopped after she sang about 6 words.
