Joan Rivers was my favorites : she was awful to everyone, didn't fear anyone, and she was honestly funny. Her appearance on Graham Norton (with Johnnie Knoxville) had me laughing out load. And had the other guests dumbfounded.

The backlash for Al Bundy is so funny because a lot of the material was written and often acted by the female writers. By this time, Joan had so many face lifts, when she sat down her mouth flew open. She was very funny but as she aged, she became increasingly savage in her humor.

There wasn’t enough evidence to find her guilty, which enraged the public, though from her lies about, behavior toward, and lack of interest in, her daughter’s disappearance, it was obvious she was likely involved. For example, after her daughter disappeared, she never reported it to the police, but was seen out partying. At one point, she and OJ Simpson - who was charged with killing his wife, though found not guilty - were in talks to host a show together on bringing to the spotlight people wrongly accused of a crime, as they say they were.

She was often the butt of her own jokes, and was just as brutal. They're still just jokes. Under YT 'American reacting to British comedy', ie Franky Boyle, Brits often write saying how brutal and unfiltered Franky is, and how mild and insipid USA comedy is by comparison!
