treerat 1 second ago I found Joan Shelley when I watched the movie Colewell. There I heard the song It's Not Over By Half. I spent my early life on a mountain in Pennsylvania in a house with no indoor plumbing and electricity in two rooms. I haven't heard that expression or that music in over 60 years. I got memories that I never knew were in me. WOW!!!!!!

I just heard this song at the end of a beautiful film about a woman facing the end of a career and facing change coming so late, so late. I am moving to KY in a few weeks form Texas and I just lost it. And of course, she is from Kentucky. As hard as this move is at 58 I am grateful I can do it, I am grateful that I didn't die in a horrible crash I was in just a few days ago. Thank God for music, thank god for Kentucky, and this woman, you have a new friend in listening Joan, thank you.

I have never heard Joan Shelley before. There are no words to describe how beautiful this song is. It's simplicity and the amazing lyrics. Simply beautiful. Her voice is just so humble and pure. I will now go about learning this song.

Such elegant crafting of lyric and sound. I won't ever get tired of this or many of Joan Shelley's remarkable works of art.

Magic. Nothing finer than two artists that achieve a level of expression with one voice and a singular purpose that resonates deeply with music lovers far and wide!

I became aware of Joan Shelley's music only recently -- as here, in this duo setting. The interplay between the two is just lovely and exactly what I always hope to find in a guitar-vocal team. Beautiful stuff!
