It was so Amazing and Wonderful to see all of the different types of Mulberry papers, textures and colors while I was in Korea. I have a lame that has glass panels on all 4 sides that are covered in Mulberry paper ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Joan Marie!! You're such a great teacher!! The water pen technique is great for those of us with arthritis in our hands. It allows me to tear the pieces so much easier without pain to my fingers. Question: what do you think of using tea inside the water pen to antique the edges? I think it could create a lovely victorian look on the right project. I'd like your thoughts.

Hi, I tried decopage before I subscribed and it turned out to be a flop. Maybe I should try again, but I would like to know if one can decopage directly onto the glass without painting it or using mulberry paper?

Yes you should try again and yes you can put a napkin on top of glass without painting. The colors will not be as vivid, which is just a preference. Practice! You can always soak a napkin off of a piece of glass. 🙂 Joan

Joan I need your expertise on something. I used a napkin that has a blue willow design on a metal can. After it dried it turned a light purple. What did I do wrong for this to happen?

You didn’t do anything wrong. That is very typical for napkins with blue ink. And there’s really no way of knowing ahead of time. Doesn’t matter quality of print or brand.

Are rice paper and mulberry paper the same type paper? can they be used in the same way with same results?

Rice paper is different then mulberry paper. Rice paper usually comes printed with a design on it. You can use rice paper the same as a napkin
