The mushrooms are because of the Christmas gnomes. The gnomes are associated with the Forrest and that's why they are bringing mushrooms bc everyone is buying gnomes

How Christmas mushrooms Started. Originally, the figure of Santa Claus came from the Nordic countries. In this region, Arctic shamans used to dole out psychedelic mushrooms as part of their winter solstice celebrations. They dressed in red clothing with white spots, similar to Amanita mushrooms.

🍄🍄When I moved to Berlin, 3 years ago, I couldn’t get into the gnome and mushroom Christmas decorations they use here. 🍄🍄Apparently, it’s a traditional German theme. Now that I’ve been here awhile, I think it makes sense because they go with the forest theme of 🎄Christmas trees, which are originally a German tradition. 🎄It’s funny to see that they’re trendy now in the States! The mushrooms here really do look like that! 🍄Another thing that’s different here is that Advent is very important. 🕯While Americans and Germans both use Advent calendars to countdown to Christmas from December 1st, Germans use Advent wreaths and candles to countdown from the 4th Sunday before Christmas. You light one candle the first time, then 2 the next, until you finally get to light them all! My favorite thing to collect here are the glass ornaments! I’ve bought too many, but think Christopher Radko and you’ll know how unique, beautiful and irresistible they are! 🎅 🕯🎄🍄🇩🇪 Love your channel and your easy going vibe, and really appreciate the connection to home you give me!

That cute little reindeer you wondered about can be used to hold your watch on the antlers and rings in the bowl. I have a 1950's piece that resembles this shape. Mine is a kangaroo. It was usually kept by the nightstand. Can work in the kitchen while washing dishes too!

Not sure what the heck with the mushrooms! Not thinking I'm a fan. The only reason I can think that they'd start that up is because of the gnomes. You showed us some nice things! Thank you for sharing!

What on earth with the mushrooms…I live in the desert so we never have mushrooms but back East where I have seen them, they’d be covered with snow right?
@buyerbware253 жыл бұрын
No, if it's cold enough for snow to accumulate, it's too cold for mushrooms to survive. I know of no kind of mushrooms that grow outside in the US in cold weather. The mushrooms in woodland theme is popular in Germany - maybe they have winter mushrooms.
