Yeah me too. Of all the people he talked about on that video, she stood out to me. I love this kind of music anyway. She's really incredibly talented. There's another musician I like who does kind of similar music. Maybe you've heard of him, maybe not but just on case he's called Seasick Steve. I think he's great anyway. He's known for playing either homemade guitars or really crumby guitars.

I was a radio DJ in the early/mid 80s. I had a blues show, and a good library to pick from. Joanna Connor was there. She was not this good back then. Not even close. But GOD DAMN she has grown into the music, and it's so good to hear this. One of the best on the planet.

Same here but the early Nineties, I had my own Blues show on the local college station and was amazed at the local talent in Chicago. Then I got stuff from the west and west coast. Wow. Mark Hummel, Little Ed, William Clarke, Little Charley. A lot of great Musicians who never get air time .

People do get better if they don't rest on their laurels. Elvin Bishop is a perfect example. He has to sit down half his set anymore, but he plays phenomenally better than he did at 25, and clearly enjoys it. Comes off simple and folksy but he's a Rhodes Scholar like Bill Clinton...
