Her album “ive got me” is an instant classic and I don’t use that term lightly Just start to finish beautiful writing, arrangements, emotion, pure feeling. Reminded me alittle of Randy Newman stuff, was pleased to hear them bring him up as an influence at the show I went to.

This is my favorite episode EVER! I never heard of Joanna before but that song played at the beginning (I Will Be With You) sounded so sweet that I just listened to it fully and on repeat. It is so sweet and emotional, it brought tears falling. All of her picks and the explanations are so heartfelt and educational. This is the only episode that I downloaded.

Joanna is an inspiration. A singular talent and a much needed voice. I've Got Me was my AOTY last year by a comfortable margin (and I listen to way too much music, at the expense of other things I could be doing with my life). I had no idea how much they were influenced by jazz. Will go back and listen again with this knowledge.
