A bit underrated, but give it some time. She's a brillant blues artist, but a don't get which Jimmy, you're referring to. Neither is she singing like Janis. Joanne Shaw Taylor is her own with inspiration from classic blues.

JST really has the blues . Great guitarist and a real empathy for the music .Vocals are unclear and indecisive. The blues greats were always vocally spot on . Though Jimi didn’t like his own voice apparently , he could certainly deliver on vocals !!😩🤨🎸🎸

Are you basing your opinion of her vocal ability solely on this crappy recording. She can definitely deliver on vocals. Powerful and emotive. I love Hendrix. He had a good voice but he never really put emotion into his singing. He sent it through his guitar.
