Its so heartwarming to see you play this banger on a Qatsi. You truly, truly deserve it Joao, well done! Johns riffage sounds intimidating only if someone isn’t familiar with his approach to music. Once you embrace it, all of his creation feels elemental, pure emotion and it simply flows in you as you listen, or play. Technically its challenging yes, but not musically because its beautifully natural and intuitive. Almost if he was speaking. Thats how you can cover these so fast, you grasp what and how he wants to convey, and thats why your covers sound true to his. (not forgetting that you are passionate and crazy talented) Every time i see you play a work of his i somehow feel “connected” as im certain that you felt the same about listening to it as i did.
