The reason why I love John Browne's playthroughs is because they are actually PLAYTHROUGHS. He (and in this case Oly) actually include the raw audio direct from their guitars, rather than miming over the original song.

Good musicians yes, infact hell yes, unique, not so much... They sound like periphery. Here is the thing, I don't see why emo clean vocals are becoming popular on djent.. to me that killed metalcore and I'm pretty sure is going to kill this gender too...
@InfamouslyCantankerous4 жыл бұрын
I'm not the biggest fan of thr emo style clean vocals but I do like some clean vocals in my metal ie killswitch etc. I was more commenting on brownes playing and technique and his style. I find his use of chords and phrasing to be unique. Imo
@adlerdefender80674 жыл бұрын
@@InfamouslyCantankerous I agree with you... I have the same issue with periphery, Mark is one of my favorite guitar players and his technique is very intriguing but their lead singer kills it for me when he sings clean... One of the reasons I prefer The Faceless, Beyond Creation and symbiotic..

I cling pathetically to the time I was tracking guitars with John Browne and he called my downpicking "annoying tight". Mother of god!!!! Music in a formalised form has been around for centuries but ultimately riffs or tunes have been present for the history of mankind.
