The PGA TOUR’s 2020-21 season wraps up at East Lake Golf Club in what promises to be a thrilling finale to the FedExCup. The top 30 golfers in the FedExCup standings are set to battle it out for the TOUR’s ultimate prize. This is the third year of the TOUR Championship’s Starting Strokes format which sees players start between 10 under and even par depending on their positioning in the FedExCup. The final field has been set after a dramatic end to the BMW Championship, the second leg of the FedExCup Playoffs, with the winner Patrick Cantlay leading the standings. THE NORTHERN TRUST winner, Tony Finau, is ranked second while Bryson DeChambeau will enter the week in the third spot. Meanwhile, as Rory McIlroy looks to become the first three-time FedExCup winner, defending champion, Dustin Johnson, will be hoping to round out the season in style after qualifying for East Lake for the 13th year in a row.

To everyone wondering: A) The tournament is only 30 people and last place gets $500,000 so it’s not like he’s struggling financially for this week anyways. B) Brooks Koepka withdrew from a forearm injury in the 3rd round, so Neimann was on his own in the first group out since he was in 29th out of 30 with Koepka, so he was playing by himself with nobody in front of him so he went as fast as he could just for fun.

Best part about this is after they were done, the tournament and rules officials sat them down and said they had disrespected the tournament and game and were going to be fined $10,000. After they noticed Joaquin becoming upset they told him they were just joking.

Not one of these so called brilliant analysts understood the main thing he actually accomplished. If he plays a regular round of golf he doesn't even get asked a question when it's over because he finished last place. That's not bad since only top 30 play at the tour championship but that's not my point. By doing what he did which was break the speed record, he got a lot of TV time didn't he? He did a great job of taking a negative week and spinning it positive by marketing himself very well. Probably increased his number of fans. Which in the long run increase his endorsement market. Showed a possitive attitude because he could have walked around with a dark cloud over his shoulder because he didn't play his best golf this week.

Koepka had to withdraw so he was playing alone which rarely happens. So they were trying to break Kevin Na’s record for fastest round.

The question is why not? His place in the tournament was pretty much locked remember this tournament doesn’t start with everyone at even par it’s based upon your ranking coming in. And then not having a good week he was pretty much locked into his position in the tournament a few strokes weren’t gonna make any difference in the standings or his paycheck.

He was in last place so he was on the first group. Koepka retired after the 3rd round cause of an injury so he was alone in his group. Like he said at the end of the video... its wasnt his idea at the beginning but his caddie and the placard holder was routing to beat the speed record. After he played the first 9 in 1h6min and at +2 he just go for it and try Na's time. Still making half a million $. Sometimes its just nice to have fun.
