I totally agree. Can't imagine the organisation is this unprofessional. There seem to be other forces involved. It was a dangerous, so expensive choise te invite Israel. There was no transparancy at all and the censorship in the comments on KZbin was stunning, almost like Russia. For me, Joost should have won. But I also agree the act of Nemo was amazing. Boycot the € ## festival next year. Teach them a lesson!

People of the Netherlands are now saying that Joost Klein deserves to perform the song again on eurovision 2025 to do his act justice. Though I don't know if Joost himself wants it anymore after what they did to his dream, I do think that if the EBU allows this request they can redeem themself a bit. But we Dutch people will never forget this.

Thank you so much Paul,, So many statements have been made by countries/artists. Examples on stages -Estonia said “thank you” to the audience instead of thank you -a Spanish dancer had Joost on his stomach (was in green room). - -Ireland said Europapa somewhere when she was on stage. This has been taken out -between songs 4 and 6 the entire audience shouted Europapa (5 was Joost's place). Then Israel stepped up and it indeed turned into booing, Joost was second place int the semifinal so, greets annamrie Netherlands

Joost went out to greet his fans after the finals and took pictures with them and talked to them. He also is back in the Netherlands. He was and probably still is very sad but looks to be doing “okay”. The Netherlands are very angry and most ppl have said they don’t want the Netherlands to participate in Eurovision anymore because of what happened (unless something will change). The EBU had no reason to disqualify him, instead they should’ve let him participate and later disqualify if there was proof a crime was committed. Let’s just say we are very angry for Joost. Dutch ppl who had tickets even had to give away their flags at security bc apparently you’re “only allowed to have flags of countries that are participating” so that also didn’t go down very well of course.

Why is no one talking about the fact that this happened in Sweden so that you have to deal with Swedish law and culture (and Martin Österdahl is also a Swede). Sweden is ridiculously strict with this kind of thing - look at someone askance and you can be prosecuted for threats or intimidation ("olaga hot" in Swedish). In the Netherlands they would have come up with a rational, harmonious solution; in Italy it would have been laughed off; but now it happened in Sweden and you have a big problem. (However, Joost was not arrested, he may leave the country and the prosecutor is not in any hurry, so I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a tempest in a Swedish tea cup - which would be a big problem for the EBU maffia and Kim-Jong Österdahl.)

I think he will feel honored to fullfill his dream in another way when he's asked to perform on other big stages in the world. He is admired by way more people than just those in Europe. Maybe he can change the text of the song a bit somehow to apply it to the whole world and to be able to forget and leave behind what happened during the ESC. Better yet, he will laugh at the organization of this event if he succeeds in conquering the rest of the world with this song. And maybe the Dutch language can make a name for itself this way as well. German already works overseas, so why can't Dutch also work?

Joost has let us know that he is in a good place. He had a wonderful evening, yesterday. The EBU had give him free seat on row 42. Why he was allowed to be there while he is suppose to be threatening someone woth a move, is a bog sign to me. All this, while the EBU said they want to protect and back the woman employee.. 😅

EBU=big & powerful corporation, Joost is just an simple artist from a small European country known to be blunt and frank, and expressive/direct. Eden Golan had so much media training, to be as gracefull as she was with the "Why not?" moment. Joost was not, why should he be, his country is not doing a [bleep], ICC has also had it's lesser popular verdicts towards the actions of Israel, but not the power to do something. USA does, but too little too late, and Bibi even called Joe a [Bleep terror-ist] supporter when he condemned the Ra-fah attack.

But she put the camera under his nose just after his performance in the semi final. And after repeatedly asking not to film, she did not respect the agreement and his wishes. We are robbed from a victory this year. I hope we don't participatie anymore until there is a new management at the EBU. #justiceforjoost
