Interestingly, there is a breakthrough understanding of the Book of Job. Read the novel "Where Do We Go Now, LORD? - Burke." Advanced. Real. Enjoy the breakthroughs!

Was the theology of Job's friends correct?

They seem to believe that only bad things happen to bad people which is incorrect.

Again, in Job 19:9, isn't is it wrong for Job to claim that he has any glory? Humans don't have glory, only God does.

Pastor Lance replies - It's important to realize that not everything Job said was accurate. Indeed, much of what he said was wrong. That's what he himself admits at the end of his tory when God confronts him.

18:02 Isn't this cursing God? To say that He has wronged you?
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord7 ай бұрын
Pastor Lance replies - It is not cursing, but COULD be blasphemy. Blasphemy is to accuse God of evil. While Job does seem to accuse God of wronging him, God Himself does not condemn Job, which moves us to re-evaluate what Job said and why he said it. Apparently God saw Job's inner motive and was not bothered by it. If God wasn't, we shouldn't be.
