Scary to think that this song is already 7 years old. I remember when it dropped. Hell, I remember when Entombment of a Machine dropped... Time flies.

yes i remember buying the record at hot topic... and listening to it at the "New Records" display I'm not sure if you recall but "one would click on the button to hear the full record" ? I still love this song... and I feel like time hasn't changed, but it definitely has. But the metal genre hasn't changed much since then, mainstream music has though

Only thing about nuclear winter is...it's not exactly cold lol. The clouds produced would block the sun, making the air beneath technically colder, but the rads will make you feel otherwise.

Job for a Cowboy is one of the hardest working bands of the new millennium. this band actually knows what it was like to tour their asses off and get their music out there. same goes with Impending Doom, VERY HARD WORKING BAND, and their success reflects that 100% but where things take a turn for the worse is the fans. todays metal fans are young kids who steal music and have no pateince to listen to an album, and these kids are so quick to turn their backs on a band once they are successful

@dayoftheVictor yes ur right about the winds carrying radiation ect, but the 1st deaths would be within the blast radius, and the initial shock wave, before the radiation can even take effect, humans have been vaporized at the center of nuclear blasts, and thats where the under desks come from to shield you from the blast and shock wave

I really love this music video, honestly I do not find it boring in the least bit like others say it is. Honestly, there is nothing wrong with it. I find the video eyeopening and meaningful at that. I think that those people that are so quick to judge against this song/video are simply uneducated close-minded clones. I guess a video that was made to make an individual think is just to much for one too handle. (And remember kids, I am voicing my opinion/input here.)

Assuming you didn't hear sirens ... If you're close enough to truly need to get underground, you won't get underground fast enough. If you're far enough away to survive the heat (many miles), then you want to get anything between you and the blast as soon as possible (less than seconds) to reduce immediate radiation exposure. Thus the couch. Wait until after the initial explosion is over, until direct radiation ceases to be the main threat, then go to a bunker before the fallout starts to hit.
