I was in a job interview today. The interviewing manager handed me his laptop and said, "I want you to try and sell this to me." So I put the laptop under my arm, walked out of the building, and went home. Eventually he called my mobile and said, "Bring it back here right now!" I said, "$200 and it's yours." Didn't get the job btw

My 1st job interview in 2006, I sat at the reception area for a certain company and waited for the HR person to see me. I thought it would be a good idea to make a quick dash to the rest room on account of how nervous I was, before I was called in. I ended up walking into the ladies restroom and I bumped into the HR person there.

never say uuh um in a interview makes you seem unsure of yourself if you get stomped on a question say well and pause it makes the interviewer know you have a answer but it didn't come out fast as expected. ..and another thing she did wrong never repeat questions being asked make the interviewer think you're either hard of hearing or your really nervous they key in on confidence they understand you will be nervous who wouldn't in a interview but thing is not to show it it's weakness if I do decide to give you the job and your always nervous you won't be able to handle a tough situation

English is not even her first language she's super confident and speaks so well. I'm English I get so scared and nervous everytime I just feeze and forget whatever I want to say I forget every single word of English, I get so anxious everything comes out wrong and I starts to stutter.
@JamesWilliam-yo9el
@JamesWilliam-yo9el 6 жыл бұрын
I think the reason I get can easily nervous in interviews is because I am not a native English speaker and I do have concerns in which word or phrase should I use. Actually, English is quite difficult for me because it is too way different from Chinese language. For example, we don't say "what did you eat last night?", instead, we say" last night you ate what?" in Chinese logic. Similarly, most Chinese non-native speakers can't speak Chinese fluently and confidently. Thus, I personally blame the problem we Chinese have in speaking English to the huge difference between these two languages: the history tells us that there is almost ZERO similarity in their origins.

This kind of candidate is someone I won't hire. In a financial industry, you are dealing with people's money. You get audited and are held responsible for GAAP laws. If you upset a customer (and I was one of these customers myself), I won't do business with the company, immediately close my account, and walk away. She lacks sincerity with her responses, doesn't show the interest at the ending that she is capable of handling this role. She doesn't appear to have a lot of questions for the interviewers, which states that she was unprepared for the interviewer. Laughing at the end is NOT good because this is business.

Someday, I would love to start my own company and hire the only ones who suck at interviews, because they are the only ones who are better at following the responsibilities. This whole interview thing is pure bullshit! They only hire the one who lies through their teeth. This whole world is filled with lies! People who suck at interviews, they are too afraid to lie, this is why they suck at it. I've seen a lot of immigrants getting hired as managers, how the hell did they get hired since their English sucks BIG TIME! And they do a horrible job as managers! That's because all the immigrants lies through their teeth to get what they want.

It could be worse, she could have been interviewed in a more public area. When I was interviewed for Wendy's in high school they just did the interviews out in the customer dining area, and I felt super awkward talking about myself when there were at least a dozen people eating fast food around me.

Not trying to be mean on purpose, but I consider that the interviewee performance is poor. The answers are generic. I've known people that have done so much better than this and still did not get the job. I don't understand when people say that this interview turned out good.

?? He tells nothing about the job, Company, Work culture. He just says tell about yourself ?hasn't she given him a Curricular Vitae, Diploma and application? A job interview should'nt be CV summation. It should be a negotiation. What goals do you have. Why should we hire you. Also there should be power and potency. She should talk like Walter White in Breaking Bad, when he negociates with the mobs. I'm an engineer with a 70k salary. That is a whole other League. That is 3 rounds + IQ test and personality test, and sometimes even surprise Cold calls.
