I do think that after your freshman/1st year year in college you should look for some internships in cooperate/startup world too so you get an experience and your skill set gets better fast.. Nothing can match the level of NDA ( national defence academy) Its very hard nut to crack it but if you cleared and completed 3 year training along with bachelor degree then u will become an A grade Defence officer at an age of just 20-21... And u will get everything same as IAS like salary, Respect, power etc

A small correction bhaiya, NDA Cadets don't get any stipends. They spend 3 years in NDA and then go to specialized academies for 1 year ( IMA, INA and Airforce Academy) and that's where they get stipend for 1 year and then get commissioned.
