I love these videos. I hate reading the textbooks and spent so much time. Since I'm a visual learner videos like these make 100 times more sense than reading paragraph after paragraph.

I'm glad you are finding these useful! I actually have an entire series on Managerial Accounting (which includes PowerPoints, exercises, and videos) for free on my website: www.edspira.com/index-managerial-accounting/ It's a little easier to navigate than the KZbin playlists. Best of luck in your studies!

As always, a great video. I do have a question, though. Let's say I have a company called Herrera Tables and I only make one table because it's a small, new company. If my business grows and I want to expand my product line, how would I go about changing the accounting method for my company from process costing to job-order costing?

Okay, so, job order cost systems are for products that are different, while process cost systems are for products that are exactly the same and follow some continuous production process, like a factory or something idk. Okay? Well, how about a tv assembler. Not manufacturer, assembler. Points for job order cost system: Each TV assembled COULD be different (not specified in question), if tv's ARE different, it could cost more or less depending on the tv, therefor, each tv is not the same, there for, not process cost Points for process cost system: Tv assembly would most likely be made in a manner of continuous production, imagine a factory line with robots putting the pieces together. So, a continuous production process, sooooooo.... its a process cost system? But wait, there would be different factory lines. The robots need separate lines for separate types of tv's, so, different jobs, soooo... job order cost system???
